Inspired by a short story/play by the awesome Neil Gaiman...drawing on the SnowWhite faerytale, [& a little of Tanith Lee's Red As Blood]...this is the infamous....'red as blood,white as snow,and black as jet' Snow White....
ressurrected as a vampyric daemon,who preys upon the royal court & her cruelly maligned stepmother......
[also inspired by my gruesome fascination with reliquaries, embalmed saints & mummies....so macabre and unquiet in their glass coffins...]**

the flowers are inspired by both Victorian & Japanese traditional floral meanings....

[link] ] ....there are some wonderful old books about it - was an entire secret code!!.....but I thought it might be a little obscure to go into too much detail about...so.....her headress has wisteria[and yes,I just adore oriental imperial dress

but all the flowers in the glass coffin [old-fashioned roses,paeonies and camellias....symbolise...Jealousy[yellow rose] Anger/Hatred[Paeony]dark crimson Rose[Mourning] peach Rose[Immortality] orange Rose[Fascination]
...and I also consulted the japanese language of flowers[Hanakotoba]& was surprised to find it blended in well[Camellia-White[Waiting]-Yellow/Peach[Longing]&
Rose[Yellow]Jealousy...just thought it added an extra layer to the *icon*look....the way christians use white lillies to symbolise the Annunciation and the virgin Mary.....for Gaiman fans:Snow,Glass Apples[audio/radio play"Seeing Ear Theatre"]- [link]
